care. You as the researcher would like to investigate if this reduction in CAUTI can be attributed to silver tip catheters, but you are unable to find this in the literature. You develop a research problem stating this gap in the literature;
Does the use of silver tip catheters in critical care units decrease the incidence of CAUTIS? The target population would be patients in critical care units with catheters. .The variables include CAUTI and silver tip catheters. The setting is critical care.
