This week the chair of the EPB committee asks you to conduct qualitative research related to your chosen health care topic, continuing to build on the research work you’ve completed. The chair wants you to prepare a press release for the media to inform the local community about the diagnosis you have chosen to research, specifically qualitative research and its importance to your topic.

Refer to your chosen health care topic or diagnosis.

Select 3 qualitative research articles that inform the study of your topic.
Develop a 300-word press release that critiques the study, including the above elements of a qualitative critique.
A press release presents a short summary of a research study, written in a clear, concise, and engaging manner that will be understood by nonexpert or nonscientific readers. Ensure that your facts are accurate.

Include the following in your press release:
A snapshot of the research study
Answer the following questions:
Who (the authors)
What (the main finding of the study)
When (date of publication and journal in which it was published)
Where (where was the study completed—university, scientific lab, etc.)
Why (the relevance of the study to the reader—why are the results exciting or unexpected?)
